COMCAST MEDIA CENTER LAUNCHES AD  DISTRIBUTION NETWORK (ADN) AT CTAM

ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTION NETWORK ALLOWS USERS  TO DOWNLOAD AD CAMPAIGN MATERIALS FROM  DEDICATED WEB PORTAL TO MULTIPLE MEDIA DEVICES

CTAM Summit, Boston, Mass, July 17, 2006 – Comcast Media Center (CMC) launched  its Ad Distribution Network (ADN), a dynamic new method for distributing promotional  campaign spots, at the Annual CTAM Summit currently underway in Boston. To highlight an  affiliate’s ability to download TV spots from the ADN portal to multiple devices, visitors to the  CMC’s exhibit at CTAM will be eligible to win a portable media device.

“ADN's ability to dramatically improve the way that promotions get delivered to  the field makes CTAM the ideal location for announcing this new service from the CMC,”  said Leslie Russell, vice president of sales and marketing. “ADN allows programming  networks to publish and refresh their promotion spots and campaigns via a web portal, where  their affiliates can access, preview and download content, providing the industry with a much  more dynamic approach than the traditional methods for distributing spot advertising”

ADN allows programming networks to publish and refresh their tag-able and  cross channel promotion spots via MSO-specific web portals. Affiliates can search and  preview spot advertising and cross channel promotions offered by programming  networks, including materials that have been customized for use by a particular MSO affiliate.

The CMC’s ADN hosts both low-resolution and high-resolution formats of the  advertising spots. This allows affiliates to download the high-resolution version directly  from the ADN portal to one or more of their local editing suites. Local ad sales  departments can download the lower resolution files for use in sales presentations.

ADN also features a reporting package for use by cable programming networks  and MSOs that generates real-time reports for determining the campaigns that have  generated interest from the user. The reports provide usage data for downloads of both  the low resolution and high-resolution campaign spots.
