A&E TELEVISION NETWORKS (AETN) AND COMCAST NETWORKS  DELIVERING PROMOTIONAL CONTENT TO AFFILIATES VIA  COMCAST MEDIA CENTER’S AD DISTRIBUTION NETWORK (ADN)

ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTION NETWORK ALLOWS USERS TO  DOWNLOAD VIDEO ASSETS FROM MSO-SPECIFIC  PORTALS TO EDIT SUITES, AD INSERTION EQUIPMENT

CTAM Summit, Washington, DC July 24, 2007 –A&E Television Network’s A&E, A&E HD,  The History Channel, The History Channel HD, Bio, History International, Crime and Investigation,  Military History Channel and The History Channel en Español, and Comcast’s E! Entertainment  Television, G4, Golf Channel, Style Network, Versus and The Mtn, a joint venture between  Comcast SportsNet and CSTV, are using Comcast Media Center’s (CMC) Ad Distribution Network  (ADN), the CMC announced today. ADN allows programming networks to publish and refresh  their tag-able and cross channel promotion spots from one centralized content management  location. Cable system affiliates may preview and download either high-resolution or lower  resolution IP-video formats from MSO-specific portals, allowing further customization of  campaign creative at the MSO and market levels.

“We are very pleased to have AETN and the Comcast Networks become the first content  providers to show their support for this cost-effective approach toward promotional content  management and distribution,” said Leslie Russell, vice president of sales and marketing for the  Comcast Media Center.

Cable system affiliates can search and preview the spots and other video assets offered  by programming networks, including materials that have been customized for particular MSOs. Affiliates can then download the high-resolution version directly from the ADN portal to  their local editing suites or directly to their local ad servers. Local ad sales departments can  download the lower resolution files for use in sales presentations. ADN also features a  reporting package for use by cable programming networks and MSOs that allows them to  determine usage of campaign materials.
